I have set out sprinklers in the yard, and as inevitable as winter turning to spring, now have a small boy in a yellow rain slicker running through them.
(Of course, the sprinklers are out this early because winter actually turned to summer, and what is up with that? My poor bleeding hearts are crisping at the edges before they even get to blooming. Hopefully they’ll recover — temperatures are supposed to go back to more normal spring weather tomorrow.)
((But that said, the two days of unseasonably warm weather have utterly confused the garden and thrown everything that could possibly bloom into bloom, so I now have more flowers blooming at once than I’ve ever had before. It’s rather glorious, if also bewildering.))
