There are these great giant trees (some kind of pine?) on Ke’e beach, with these fabulous roots. One of them was open enough that I could step inside and sit on a root for a while. It’d make a good writing spot.

As you can see, Ke’e is not a crowded beach, since they limit access. Many of the people taking the shuttle are actually there to hike the nearby trail, in fact, so only a small portion of them are laying out or swimming on the beach. You probably won’t be alone, but it’ll be quiet
