Pool at the Ala Moana hotel, Honolulu. When the ocean isn’t safe to go in, this is a nice option. I spent an hour or so lounging in the giant egg thingie and reading, and it was quite lovely.

Eating in Hawai’i is very interesting to me. The breakfast buffet at the hotel offered miso soup, fried rice, white rice, along with the standard cereal / scrambled eggs / muffins / etc. that I’m used to. It also had something like six different kinds of meat, mostly pork-based, I think. Pork seems pretty inexpensive
