On Saturday my friend generously hosted at her house, and I cooked some rice and curries to share with the editors of Snaring New Suns: Speculative Works from Hawai’i and Beyond. I like to feed people if I can, before making them sit through a 90-minute SLF interview. .
They brought lots of yummy food too, including Tom’s mochi apple-banana bread, and a bakery (not sure which one) yuzu dessert that was addictively good. Lots of the desserts in Hawai’i seem to be loaded with rich cream, which is a trend I can totally get behind.
