Woot
Woot — sewed in a metal strip for nosepiece for a mask that doesn’t use bias tape, worked fine. Have to be a *little* careful the needle doesn’t intersect with the metal strip, but other than that, no problem.

Sigh — it’s driving me a little nuts that I don’t know the name of this tulip. Anyone? It has so many colors in it — pink, obviously, but also cream and green and I think that’s even blue. Wacky! (The leaves are edged in white too.)

HUGE shout-out to sheet metal workers’ local 73 — they have a form where you can request metal strips suitable for mask nose-pieces, for free. I put in a request for 250, and less than a week later, they were delivered to me. Union strong! https://actionnetwork.org/forms/nose-piece-request-form This is my first attempt at sewing one in,

Plum tree. So far, a few years in, I’ve seen plums growing on here, but never managed to get any that were ripe before they disappeared. This year, though, I have plenty of time to obsessively watch (and net) my fruit trees…
Another request for ID? This one looks like it might want to be a tree, and this is not a good place for a tree, but before I pull it out, would like to know what it is…
