Tea Leave Soap

Soap #5 — this one reminds me of tea leaves, which is what we use as the motif for Serendib Press, so it’s always fun making some more of them. I was aiming for something very neutral color-wise, that could transition from spring to summer easily and work in most homes’ decorating schemes, because I think this is the sort of soap that people might put a pair of in a powder room or guest bath.

I tried something new this time — pre-blended scents. Usually I use straight up essential oils, but here I combined ‘rain’ and ‘fresh-cut grass,’ and I don’t know what they used to get those scents, but they’re kind of surprisingly accurate. Refreshing!
