Happy With the Curtain Project

Happy with how this curtain project came out — we had taupe linen curtains from IKEA in our bedroom for ten years, and they’re fine, but Kevin gets migraines and is light-sensitive, so he’d be happier with something more light-blocking.

I’m slowly redecorating our bedroom to be more medieval-ish in flavor, well, medieval crossed with Narnia? Something like that. It’s coming along nicely. Details I like:

• the hand block-printing on the sheers that I did a decade ago — it’s not very neat, but I still like it
• blue velvet curtains against Farrow & Ball Hague Blue walls
• medieval gold trim added to the curtains
• art glass style window film that gives us privacy from the neighbors not so far away on one wall
• bench for putting on socks and also not dropping clothes on the floor when getting undressed

• the Moroccan star pattern basket holding my current crochet afghan project

Next step: adding trees, lights, more stars. Coming along! 🙂
