A Bench for Our Bedroom

Tiny little home improvement that I’m surprisingly happy about — I got a bench for our bedroom. It’s a small room, but it turns out there’s enough room for a narrow bench by the window. And it means:

• I can tuck my slippers and the pets’ water fountain under the bench (less visual clutter)

• I can get my crochet basket up off the floor (less visual clutter, also easier to reach and remember to work on afghan-of-many-years)

• when I exhaustedly strip off my clothes at the end of a long day, and I don’t have the energy to walk over to the washing machine or laundry basket, I can throw them on the bench instead of the floor

Also, it’s pretty, and will fit nicely into the ‘Cair Paravel’ theme in our bedroom. (upcoming winter break project)
