Quick mental health note; I’ve started Lexapro today, low dosage (10 mg) — it’s used for treating both depression and anxiety. I’m not depressed, and I’m not sure I’d have called myself anxious either, but Kevin thought I might be, and sometimes he knows me better than I know myself. Glancing at the symptoms that Lexapro is supposed to help with, some include:
• restlessness
• difficulty concentrating
• muscle tension
…all of which do apply to me, although the ADD meds help with the difficulty concentrating. So what the heck, my doctor thought it was worth trying, and the risk of side effects seems pretty low, so we’ll try it for a month, see if it makes my life better.
