So, this is a little goofy. But there’s something about the casting / filming of The Expanse that made it surprisingly hard for me to tell a lot of the characters apart. So even though I read the first book quite a long time ago, and I’ve just finished watching season 1, I’m going to go back and re-read the first book again. At least skim it. I want to have the characters really solid before I go into watching season 2.
Is there much divergence as the series goes on? I’m having a hard time figuring out what to read / watch first going forward. The new novel (the one I’m halfway through the first draft of book 1 in a series, not the one I’m finishing up now) is space opera-ish in a similar way, so I’d like to get up to speed on The Expanse, which I gather continues very good for quite a while?
