Dosed to the gills on…

Dosed to the gills on DayQuil & NyQuil, still miserably sick. Fever, chills, shaking. Fun times. No class today.

  1. Mary Anne,

Sorry to hear you’re so ill. Watch the side effects of medication. Sometimes that can make you feel worse besides the illness.
I hope Kavi isn’t reflecting attitudes of the parents. they may not do what parents say, but will do what parents do.

Heh. I think you’d have a hard time finding parents less given to screaming fits than Kevin and I am. That’s all her.

It’s sort of fascinating to watch, though. Proof that your children really aren’t mini versions of you.

  3. Just a timely tip: fever plus chest-type symptoms (coughing) is usually influenza. I don’t know what you have besides fever, but it sounds like it could be flu. It might be a bit late to start on antivirals, but you might consider seeing the doctor and getting some serious rest. I hope you feel better soon. Even if you don’t have flu, several days of fever is kind of bad. Do take care.

I was coughing at Roshani over the phone, and she didn’t think it sounded like flu. Granted, phone diagnoses are probably not the best, but if I hadn’t started feeling better today, the plan was to drag my butt to the doctor. It was kind of scary — the sickest I’ve felt in as long as I can remember, aside from recovering from the two c-sections.

Luckily, I’m doing much better now. Hence the actual posting of entries. With photos and all. 🙂 Yesterday, the very thought would have been too exhausting.

  5. yeah, flu cough is kind of a deep chest cough. I’m glad you’re finally feeling better. Sounds like a nasty bug. We have a cold at my house, and although it’s not horribly severe, it just drags and drags and drags.
