Plan for today, try out new babysitter Adriana (arriving at 8), and go to Neoliberalism and Its Discontents conference at UIC. Not really my field, but several of my colleagues are speaking, and it sounded interesting. I wonder if they'd be offended, though, if I sat in the back and knit during the sessions? I've only got another two weeks until the next session of my knitting class, and I'm supposed to be done with the body of the sweater before then, so I can learn jacquard colorwork that session. That's a lot of rows to go...
I'm hoping to actually pick up my bicycle from my office and bring it home. I'm guessing the tires will be way too flat to actually bike it the couple of blocks from the train to the house, but I can pump it up tonight, and then maybe go for a little bike ride tomorrow? It's supposed to be highs of close to 50 most of this week; I can't imagine! But Oak Park is very bike-able, and it'd sure be nice to do some outside exercise instead of staring at the tv...
