One difficulty we’ve run…
One difficulty we've run into with Redfin -- if you don't have an agent when you go look at a house, even if you just sign into an open house, you run the risk that the person showing the house will claim to be the 'procuring agent' and expect to keep the whole commission. So you want to be VERY CLEAR with them from the get go that either you're going to be representing yourself, and would expect to get some percentage (say 45%) of their commission if you buy the house, or that you *will* be using an agent (Redfin or otherwise) for the actual purchase. This is totally not a problem we anticipated, and it's causing some stresses now. Just what we needed -- added stress.
