So I spent a pretty massive amount of time yesterday, with Kevin's help, doing research online for my upcoming trip to Sri Lanka. I'm planning on going sometime in January / February, for about a month. The very very exciting part is that somehow I've managed to talk Karina into meeting me there -- she'll be flying in from Melbourne for about two and a half weeks. Yay! We'll visit Colombo and Nuwara Eliya and Kandy and Sigiriya and Dambulla and Anaradhapura. I think she was mostly convinced by the 100 rupees:1 USD exchange rate -- though to be fair, I think it's only about 30:1 in actual buying terms. And of course, there are always the baby elephants, guaranteed to charm.
