Did a SH gallery (took about an hour, as expected), now 200 pages in. Am getting sick of hearing about how amazing Tristan and Lancelot are. Is rather a relief to have the prospect of Galahad arriving on the scene, just so Malory has someone new to rave about. Can't help being amused by how Lancelot got enchanted *twice* to think someone else was Guinevere -- and by how many maidservants appear to be running around the castle, trying to arrange assignations between Guinevere and Lancelot. Getting less and less plausible that Arthur (and the rest of the court) could possibly have any doubt that G & L are getting it on. Maidservants not known for keeping their mouths shut. Lancelot has just gone insane and fled into the woods (because Guinevere mad at him about getting enchanted *again* and having sex with Galahad's mother, Elaine). Did people really do this kind of thing? I can't imagine anyone I know going insane for two years just because they found their partner cheating on them, even in a monogamous context. Of course, Lancelot never struck me as all that sane to begin with...
Take break, do dishes, then back to book.
