Small Monday morning…

Small Monday morning pleasures -- harvesting flowers for the house. I love having enough blooming that I can make several vases without denuding the yard. The daffodils are finishing, and the tulips are having a tough time in this heat, but the muscari and Jack Frost brunnera are still going strong (combined in one vase here), and the azaleas and rhododendron are starting to open (somewhat late, I think). The hellebores are blooming still, but faded from their brightest colors to a pink-gray-green that I still find lovely. In a few days we'll have the first alliums too. Spring and summer are all mixed up together in my garden this week.
