In another part of our home entirely, we've hung a birdfeeder on the third floor balcony, outside our living room. Kevin got me a beautiful birdfeeder handbook, but I haven't had a chance to look at it properly yet. I think what we mostly have are house finches and/or house sparrows, though there was a bold red cardinal (and its mate) poking around; I don't think it can quite use this birdfeeder though. Not sure. The cardinal seems like a more frequent visitor when I just scatter some seed in the window box next to it. In any case, it's rather nice having the little brown birds visiting; they're here off and on most of the day now, and it's just pleasant, having a bit of extra life fluttering about.
