Okay, this is the quickest little cute crochet project -- and also the easiest, since all you need to know is the most basic chain stitch. I love this cowl, "Loop D' Loops":

Now I feel like I ought to buy something from her Etsy store in thanks, since I suspect I'll be making a lot of these as gifts. This one took about two hours and was completely mindless crochet in front of the tv (Smallville's Absolute Justice special, watched both for pleasure and for inspiration for my own superhero story revision that I'm working on today, episode only interrupted about three times by Anand).
