Kirsten was in town for a conference last week, and brought her three-year-old daughter Katie for a visit. We had some good meals and a nice long walk, but the best part of the day, I think, was when Katie and Kavi and Robert and Catherine were all running in circles of sheer delight on the porch. Kavi's favorite part was when we started singing 'ashes, ashes, we all fall down'. She's not the fastest runner, but she's very good at falling down.
This is one of the nicest bits about having children.
Adorable! My eldest is just about ten years beyond that, but my, this brings me back … Sweet.
