This afternoon I get to…

This afternoon I get to teach again, yay! We're discussing the opening chapter of LeGuin's Steering the Craft, plus one of my stories, and working on rich language in general. Also, my students finally get to introduce themselves; maybe I'll learn some names. I am so bad at that these days. Sigh.

But first, this morning, house inspection. The owners are pretty clearly tapped out on funds, so it's a question of whether there are any big issues that we can afford to fix. We can absorb a few thousand dollars' worth of repairs, but not a ton. If there's still a lot of knob-and-tube wiring hidden in there, for example, that's probably enough to break the deal.
