This morning, I sent out the call for readers for the next DesiLit Chicago rapid-fire reading; hopefully we'll get a nice set reading on the 9th. I have a whole pile of fairly urgent stuff to work on, specifically:
- depositing checks so that I can...
- pay bills due tomorrow
- talking to Sumita about contracts for DesiLit magazine
- buying plane tickets to visit D.C./New York/CT
- visiting Nilofer and baby Zara this afternoon
- sending reminders about my small book party this coming Friday
- going to Filter tomorrow morning to get back to revising the novel, which some insane part of me expects to have done by the end of June
- prepping for my first spec fic writing class this coming Saturday
- urging students/faculty to sign up for our table at Printer's Row next weekend
- doing programs for the rapid-fire reading
- renewing my website domain registration before it expires in two weeks
- resisting the urge to send lots of e-mails telling people how much I loved seeing them this weekend, and how much I miss them already, and asking why they can't come to Chicago right now...
Interesting note: I've just found an online site for Indian sf/f. Must remember to tell the Carl Brandon folks so they can add it to their website.

Also, I don’t see any reason to resist that urge to send the fond emails to people. Well, okay, except for all that other stuff you have to do today. But surely you could take a break every hour or two and drop people notes.
