Tentative World Fantasy schedule

Tentative World Fantasy schedule. Friends, let me know if you’ll be there! Roshani is traveling with me, and we’ll probably be hitting up Sri Lankan restaurants at least once. There seem to be a lot, so would very much appreciate recommendations for best ones!

Wednesday — sightseeing (I feel like there was some plan to go antiquing on Wednesday, but now I cannot remember who that was talking about it — Ellen Kushner, maybe?)

Thursday 4 p.m. — Reading

Friday 3-4 p.m. — Fictional Hotspots We Want to Visit: Readers are drawn to characters with whom they identify, and to well-paced plots that keep the stories moving. But what about books where the setting is the primary focus? What are recent books where the depiction of towns and societies have their own character and motivations irrespective of the individuals within them? Can settings become more than merely the backdrop for characters and their actions?

Friday 8-10 p.m. — Mass Autographing Session

Saturday 11 a.m. — Kaffeeklatsch
