When you're in a bad mood, it's somehow very satisfying to watch cheesy, petty tv. I've had a good dose of
Ally McBeal and
Beverly Hills 90210 and that was pretty much perfect programming for this Sunday morning. It's fun to focus on someone else's petty problems for a bit. :-) You also get to feel morally superior to them, which is much harder to do if you're watching Jean-Luc on
Next Gen, or Captain Dylan on
Andromeda. Though heroes are appealing too, uplifting.
Maybe that's part of why Buffy and Angel are so appealing -- they combine whiny self-involved angst with naked heroism. :-)
Naked? Damn I thought I had seen all the episodes, I even watched the musical one.
