Just had a roughly…

Just had a roughly two-hour long conversation with Bob about the book, talking about all sorts of fine points of story and theme, also about Asian-American politics in general. Did I mention that my agent is very smart? And that he's a damned good editor (which I already knew from working with him on the AE book)? It's incredibly nice to have an agent who not only likes my book but who is willing to talk to me about it at length!!!

He also has a tendency to call me darlin', which I suppose might bother some people, but which I find inexpressibly charming.

I think we're in the honeymoon period. :-)
