Last bits of NY. Surprise meet-up with a friend from high school whom I possibly haven’t seen in 30 years or so? Eep. About 45 minutes of high-speed catch-up.
Meeting with a colleague, Ted Schneider (whom I’m hoping to coax into teaching screenwriting for the SLF, comment below if you’d be interested in hearing about that class if it happens) at Silvana’s in Harlem.
This was one of the best food choices I made this trip — the ‘pick 6’ appetizer tray ($16) was delicious, every bite, and affordably priced, even after I added in two extra orders of pita to be sure I had enough to sop up every bit ($2.50 / order, and all pita available white, wheat, or gluten-free). Lovely to share with a friend at happy hour with coffee or a glass of their house white. I would totally have exactly the same thing again. (https://silvana-nyc.com)
And the last, I’m not sure where my sister Mir Mo Ga ordered from, but curry chicken nachos turn out to be surprisingly tasty!
