Okay, I’ve finished carefully reviewing the board packet for tonight’s meeting. I had hoped to finish in time to swing by the small business community forum, because I’m very interested in what new measures the Village will be taking to support small businesses in the wake of the minimum wage increase, but alas, time did not permit.
One of my takeaways from the ALA trustee seminars last Friday that if there’s one thing that deeply frustrates librarians about their trustees, it’s when the trustees do not carefully read the packet of materials they’ve so diligently prepared in advance of the meeting. So, reading was a priority today.
