Laura Sachiko Fugikawa currently teaches in Asian American Studies and Gender and Women Studies at UIC. She holds a doctoral degree in American Studies and Ethnicity with a certificate in Gender Studies from the University of Southern California (2011). In 2011- 2012, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Asian American Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
