After taking the Xmas…

After taking the Xmas decorations down, the house was just too dreary, so Kavi and I started making Valentine's decorations. We shaved a dozen different crayons onto wax paper, covered it with paper, ironed it to get all melty, and cut out hearts. Then she helped me wrap a twig in red yarn, and then we used embroidery floss on a needle to pierce the hearts (she did that bit), and then I tied the hearts onto the twig. Pretty, and when the sun comes through the window, very cheering for a Chicago winter!
