Phrases like ‘effervescent in my aerated heart’

Woke up, did some e-mail and posting, finished edits on my House Rules story for Wild Cards. Roshani made breakfast out of leftovers, so I’m going to stuff myself now, then the plan is to get dressed and walk over to the grocery store; we’re cooking Sri Lankan dinner for George and some writer friends tonight.

Will hopefully get in another hour or so of writing today, but George has invited us on a fun adventure, so that will take up the afternoon instead of writing. More on that soon — with pictures! đŸ™‚

A pleasant bubbling fizz was rising through my chest, much like the bubbles rising in the best fruity champagne – very soon, I felt, I might well go pop! I murmured a few last words, frothy hope effervescent in my aerated heart…

(It’s been really fun working on this Bertie Wooster pastiche. It’s not often that I have the excuse to put together phrases like ‘effervescent in my aerated heart’. I should write silly more often.
