I didn’t take a lot of photos of the actual workshopping, because writers sitting around a table talking about writing gets a little repetitive in photos. Also, I was trying to concentrate on the students’ work. But here’s one, with Liz Hand commenting on a students’ story.
Also, of note, on the far left you can see the incredibly effective AC units they had in the classroom. Within moments, I could make the room too cold for everyone else. I’m guessing they’re expensive, but given how much it costs to actually renovate our elementary and middle school classrooms for central air (it’s a HUGE, difficult project & expense), I wonder whether getting in something like this might not be much more cost-effective. Hm.
