Chicago to Doha

Waiting to board my long leg flight, 13 hours, Chicago to Doha. I can walk on my sprained ankle now, but it hurts when I walk on it for long, so I did request a wheelchair to get me from ticketing to gate.

Earlier this morning, I stopped by the Township office, returned the forearm crutches and four-pronged cane, borrowing this collapsible walking stick instead. I don’t think I’ll need it most days I’m there, when I’ll mostly be sitting at a table, but it’s helping in the airport, and will be useful on Wednesday, when we’re scheduled to visit a cultural site.

I’ve packed my backpack tightly enough that I should be able to use it as a footrest, so I think I’m as prepared as I’m going to be for this flight. Onwards to Doha…
