Got my Moderna vaccine booster today (second booster, as I am 50 years old, and it’s now recommended for those 50 years and older who got their first booster more than four months previously, along with those who are immunocompromised).
Yes, I feel a little old now.
I scheduled it easily at a Walgreens website — scheduled this morning, had my choice of many time slots today.
My arm is sore, so far, no other symptoms, per usual. Although I am nonetheless tucked up in bed with GBBO and some thoughts that I might deal with some e-mail, but if I don’t, that’s okay, because I got a shot today, so I get to indulge myself. Apparently, this is my equivalent of getting an ice cream every time you get a shot (which is what my kids go for).

As far as I know, I haven’t caught COVID yet, and neither have Kevin and the kids, although to be fair, it’s entirely possible that one of us did and just was asymptomatic, and so we never knew. I’ve travelled a fair bit during the last year, but I do mask on transit, in crowded environments, and everyone has been masked on the UIC campus this past year of teaching.
