Road trip back from WisCon; after dropping Alex and Mary off at the airport, Benjamin and I stopped at Thatcher Woods.
It was a good chance to stretch after a few hours of driving (I got a horrible foot cramp just as we were pulling up to O’Hare, which is really hard to work out while you’re sitting in a car!), and also to decompress in nature after a week of intense socializing and work.
We saw geese and goslings, sunlight on the water, and a glory of what I think is butterweed.
