The next bit called for serging, but I don’t have a serger. Luckily, they gave an alternative approach using French seams, which I’m pretty sure I’ve never done before. Easy and neat — I like them a lot.

It’s funny how it’s hard not to assume they’re going to be good just because they’re French — the French really have done an effective job asserting mastery in various realms, like fashion and cooking. 🙂
