My garden has been so neglected this year — usually I have tons of flowers that I can cut for the house, and it’s been making me sad that my flowers are so skimpy at the moment that I don’t want to cut any and denude the garden.
So yesterday I just went ahead and bought some grocery store flowers (which I usually only do in winter these days), and y’know, that was exactly right. Ten dollars of floral cheer — totally worth it, especially if it keeps me from beating myself up about neglecting the garden.
