Watching the first couple episodes of classic Dr. Who (1963), which I’ve never seen before — I came into the series with the reboot. I’m mostly trying to avoid critiquing the dialogue, etc., because it doesn’t really seem fair…
…but I admit, it’s a little hard to put up with how the women are falling to pieces and (hysterically, natch) wailing and shrieking every five seconds.
I don’t remember classic Star Trek (launched 1966) being this bad. Uhura was generally cool and competent.
