Prepping for the book launch party. If you’re having a Sri Lankan party, in addition to all the labor-intensive appetizers that take forever to make, like the ribbon sandwiches, might I suggest filling out with:
– fried bitter gourd chips (Indian grocery store)
– murukku (Indian grocery store)
– papadum (ordered from your local Indian restaurant)
– dried mango, little baby bananas, dates
– cheddar and crackers and date-tamarind chutney
– samosas and chutneys (either grocery store or ordered from local Indian restaurant)
Don’t kill yourselves throwing a party, people. You’re supposed to have fun too.
