Kevin and I have started talking about where we want to retire in 7-10 years, and if we don’t stay in Oak Park (which we might), the Bay Area is high on the list. It would be a big shift to garden here again; I did it for a few years when I was living in Oakland in grad school, but I was a baby gardener then and just happy if I got anything to grow. Now I would know a lot more about what wouldn’t thrive here, that does grow well in Chicago; there are plants I’d miss. Ah well. I’m pretty sure I could learn to love these pretty quick.
