Okay, teaching videos and instructions posted for the week, Valentine boxes out in time for the shipping deadline (and yes, that entailed driving through the snow at 6:45 p.m. to get to the post office before they closed at 7 p.m.), another writing deadline hit (revisions due to an editor), and that is the end of a very long work day, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. I go fall down now.
Thank you to the children for staying out of my way, and to Kevin and Kavi for helping with last-minute box assembly and treat packaging. And to Bua Hana (local restaurant) for providing a nice, sustaining dinner for us all, because there was no way anyone was going to be able to cook in that kitchen today. (I made another batch of marshmallows, another batch of milk toffee, another batch of passionfruit gummies, another batch of dragonfruit chocolates, another batch of chocolate-dipped crystallized ginger…)
Tomorrow, I’m going to stay in bed, watch TV, and sketch all morning (if I feel like it). So there.
