I came downstairs last night for a glass of water at 11:45 p.m. (Kavi’s bedtime over break is supposed to be 11 p.m.), to find her carefully placing little gummy bears in what remained of our previous chocolate cake village + meringue mounds of snow scene. And she’d even made a chocolate tree!
I didn’t have a lot of heart to scold her for being up too late — as Kavi said, she was making art! And when she had the idea to get a shot of falling snow, I had to help, right? That’s what a GOOD mother would do.
(I know, I know. I’m an enabler. We’re going to pay for it on Monday, when classes start…)
