Well, I thought I was reasonably rocking the asynchronous teaching thing so far — stressful in various ways, but I was getting things done on time, getting the students what they needed, etc.
But then today I was supposed to have the first of my supplemental town hall office hours Zoom calls @ 5, and I even sent them a reminder around lunchtime, but then guess what? I completely forgot. At 5, I was taking a walk up to the grocery store, and it wasn’t until 7 or so, after dinner and exercise, that I remembered about the call. Doh.
I sent them an apology note. We’ll all get the hang of this, I swear. Next week will be better.
(On the plus side, both kids survived the first day of e-learning without tears, so that’s something.)
