I may be making too much work for myself? This is for my asynchronous class, after they filled out a Doodle. I just really want to help them feel engaged. We’ll see if it works.

So my goal here is to make sure that I reserve a 45-minute slot every week for each of you. Ideally, these are in small groups, so you can talk to each other as well as to me, but of course, your schedules are complicated — for some of you, I could only manage to get 2 people in your available time slot.
To be clear, you’re not expected to attend this every week — I’ll open the Zoom call, and it’ll be there for you if you want to drop in. If you come, we’ll talk about the previous week’s readings, the current readings if you’ve started on them, your papers, etc. I think it’ll help it feel more like a regular class, while still keeping the majority of what we do asynchronous. That’s the hope, anyway. I’m scheduling them for 45 minutes, but if we’re in a good conversation, they may run longer, which is fine.
Here’s my first pass at collating the info from the Doodle into something that I hope works — but let me know now, please, if you can’t make your scheduled time, or if you’d prefer to switch to another time. (You could come by more than once / week, but I’m trying to guarantee everyone can has the option to come at least once.)
If you didn’t get a chance to fill out the Doodle, please let me know if you can join one of these time slots.
THIS IS VERY COMPLICATED, BUT I THINK WE CAN DO IT.
