Kavi is mostly listening obsessively to Hamilton because she likes the music, and hasn’t been paying that much attention to parsing the lyrics yet, so I was explaining to her the whole Eliza / Angelica thing, with the follow-up cheating in the second act, and she was horrified, and demanded to know why all the important people she kept learning about in her history classes were also cheaters and had slaves and other awful stuff.
I didn’t really have an answer for her, and muttered something incoherent about ‘racism and sexism?’.
