I always fail NaNoWriMo and yet this year, I am tempted to try again. I didn’t write fiction yesterday, but I did write a very think-y piece ABOUT my fiction, which is possibly of use, AND I sent off my SF novel to two editors I trust, so I’m counting that!
I’m on deadline for a short story, so really should put the bulk of writing time towards that, and I’m 48K into another SF novel, so should finish that, and YET…
…oh, the lure of starting something new. The thought of, say, whipping out a little middle-grade fantasy book (typically 15,000 – 35,000 words long, the internet tells me) in November? It is SO TEMPTING. I even have one that I’ve drafted the first chapter of, just waiting for me….
