Okay, I’ve created my candidate Facebook page (using my full name and nothing else, so that I can potentially use it for different offices in the future), asked people to ‘like’ it, requested that Facebook check it against public records free to all to view (which I think will take a few days), and that they verify the page (which gets me a blue check mark and makes it more visible). Took about an hour, including time to read some guides on how to make a political Facebook campaign page.
