Some of my frustrated energy this week was expended in assembling the kids’ sandbox. Took me about three hours, went fairly smoothly. I don’t love the tricolor tent top; it doesn’t mesh with our color scheme. But I am too lazy to sew a different one, so for now, it stays. It does its job of keeping off the sun. They were pretty excited (Kavya said, “Thank you thank you thank you!” and Anand promptly demanded that she bury him in sand), and they spent a good hour playing in it after coming home from camp. We’ll see if they continue to use it! Should be fun when other kids come over too.
