Feeling strange — being…
Feeling strange -- being up for two hours in the middle of the night means that I'm really groggy now, but on the other hand, I've already done my writing for the day, so I feel weirdly accomplished. Still, there are other things to do. Going to drink my tea, go out and do half an hour or so of weeding -- it'd be more, but it is already painful hot / humid out. And then try to find the coolest spot in the house (probably the basement) to churn through backlogged e-mail for the rest of the morning. In the afternoon, I'm watching Kat's kids for a bit, so planning to deal with laundry and other housework then, if the humidity doesn't fell me. We have central air, but when it's close to 90 outside, there's only so much it can do. And when it gets too hot, I just can't think anymore -- my brain shuts down. I don't know how people who live in hot climates year-round manage it.
