The lovebirds.
Garlanding at the Hindu ceremony.
Appetizers at the reception -- love the view. All the venues were amazing.
They enter the dining hall, looking like movie stars.
Little Natalya dancing her heart out.
Aww....I'm pretty sure Kavi clinked the glass that led to this kiss. Of course, she didn't know what she was doing, but people enthusiastically followed along.
A better photo than the one I posted previously, of my mother putting Mirna's foot on a stone.
Anand -- and his eyes are open for a change! (He slept through most of the ceremonies, which was a blessing.)
Kavya, cranky, consoled by cupcake.
The cupcakes, served post-ceremony right outside the church, and made by a friend of Mirna's with a new business, were amazing. Gorgeous and delicious.
Kavya with rose petals.
Surrounded by family and friends.
Kavi with my little cousins. She loved them to death, and followed them around shrieking with glee, but at this point, she was already tired of being photographed.
Me, ceremony. Wow, this photo makes it look like I have a lot of make-up on, but I think that's an artifact of the flash. It looked pretty natural in person. Although I did have a lot of make-up on. :-)
My dad, beaming. Marina Aunty took Anand in the limo on the way to the ceremony, giving us a much-needed respite.
Happy mother-of-the-bride.
Dancing with dad. I love the detail on the back of her blouse.
My sister Sharmila and her husband Ryan. Somehow, this photo is very characteristic of them, though I couldn't tell you why.
Kavya.
Wow! congratulations! these are lovely pictures! the cupcakes look great, and everyone looks beautiful and happy.
Thanks! My sister did a great job organizing her wedding. 🙂
Heh. And your post reminded me to add a note at the top that I didn’t take any of these. 🙂
By the way, I’ve been reading and enjoying your blog for a while now. Found by way of Nikwalk’s blog.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in Sri Lankan dress before — you look stunning!
