Happy 4th of July! I became an American citizen last year. Despite my political worries and frustrations with America in particular (I still don't understand what is apparently so scary about universal health care), and my deep reservations about nationalism in general, I find that I'm still very much glad to be an American.
I love this country, warts and all.
