Chicago writers will each read short a selection of their work. Following the readings, attendees can meet and mingle with featured writers.
Participating writers include Devi Bhaduri, Aroon Chaddha, Anita Chandwaney, Manda Gillespie, Malini Goel, Vennila Kain, Mary Anne Mohanraj, S. G. Murthy, Purvi Patel, Lakshmi Rengarajan, Shaifali Sandya, Ranjit Souri, Nikhil Trivedi, and Sachin Waikar.
DesiLit welcomes everyone to experience the work of local authors in a relaxed and open atmosphere. Food and wine can be purchased at the cafe.
Recommended donation: $10 non-members, $5 members, students, and seniors.
Co-sponsoring the rapid fire reading will be The South Asian Progressive Action Collective.
All proceeds will go toward future Chicago-area events of DesiLit, a national organization supporting and celebrating the literary arts of South Asia and the diaspora.
